WEEK
1 - "Enhancing Math Skills with Art" |
This is not a math
class, BUT- by doing some of these fun and exciting projects
that include fractions, geometry, fractals, tessellations
and more- you will increase your understanding of many
mathematical concepts- even including algebra! (which
is now a 9th grade requirement!) Experience learning
math the fun way! |

WEEK 2 - "Multi
Cultural Crafts" |
From the jungles
of South and Central America to the icy mountains of
Tibet- come and tour the world without ever leaving the
studio! You will learn about the handicrafts of people
from around the globe and recreate some of their finest
crafts such as Tibetan prayer flags, Guatemalan worry
dolls, Tiki masks, Mayan carvings, Polynesian batiks,
and so much more! |

WEEK 3 - "Who's
Who In Art" |
You've heard of
Picasso and van Gogh, but who was the artist who made
the "drip" paintings? Or the one who painted that famous
ceiling? Or the woman with the mysterious smile? Come
and learn about these artistic legends and, experience
their art by creating a masterpiece in their style! A
variety of techniques and materials will be used! |

Week 4
- "Fashion Fun" |
Graffiti hats!
Illustrated shoes! Embroidered shirts! Accessories! Come
and learn how to create fabulous fashions using your talent,
paint, thread and lots of imagination! Make things for
yourself or to give as gifts! (Shoe size required upon
registration!) |
